Jai-Hyun BYUN is a professor of College of Engineering in Gyeongsang National University and the president of Korea Institute of Industrial Engineers and Korea Society for Quality Management. He holds BS from Seoul National University in 1983, and his MS and PhD degree from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 1985 and 1989, respectively. His research interests include design of physical and computer experiment, quality engineering and management, and six sigma. He has published numerous papers in internationally renowned journals in the fields of industry and quality, such as Computers & Industrial Engineering, International Journal of Production Research, Quality Engineering, and Quality and Reliability Engineering International.
